Local CDL-A Driver — Home Daily, Up to $30/hr

Our company, a family-owned business now in its fourth generation, moves fresh ready-to-eat and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and meal kits to retail distribution centers and stores nationwide. They're hiring experienced Class A drivers based in Smyrna, TN for a home-daily route running to either Atlanta, GA or Memphis, TN, with pickup times between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm. Freight is minimal touch, though weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis.

Pay

• $26 - $30 an hour, with the higher end based on experience

What you'll haul

• Refrigerated, ready-to-eat and pre-cut food products on a route between Smyrna, TN and Atlanta, GA or Memphis, TN

What you'll do

• Drive loads between the manufacturing plant and other depots

• Check your truck for mechanical or safety problems and keep up with preventive maintenance

• Hit delivery windows on schedule

• Keep accurate logs of driving and rest time, mileage, and receipts for fuel and tolls

• Follow DOT rules and company procedures

• Back trucks into loading and unloading spots

• Confirm delivery paperwork and instructions

• Report any accidents, violations, or equipment defects

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A license

• Minimum 9 months of verifiable driving experience within the past 3 years

• Clean record: no reckless driving, DUI, hit and run, or excessive speeding (15+ mph over the limit)

• No preventable accidents and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years

• Comfortable driving in any weather

• Reliable attendance

• A plus if you've hauled refrigerated goods or done route delivery before
