About this job
Our company is hiring a local CDL-A truck driver in Orlando, FL to run doubles and triples combinations and get home every day. Pay starts at $29.35 an hour on a day shift.
Pay
- Starting pay of $29.35 an hour
- Day shift, roughly 9 hours
- Classified as Motor Carrier Act Exempt
Home time
- You're home every day
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples
- Mix of hazardous and non-hazardous freight
Requirements
- Must be 21 or older with a valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving history
- Willing to earn hazmat, tank vehicle, and doubles/triples endorsements within your first 90 days on the job (already having them is a plus)
- Able to pass a DOT drug screen with no positive results or refusals in the past three years
- Current DOT medical card, or pass a physical paid for by the company
- Flexible availability for 12-14 hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Able to handle physical demands: lifting up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally over 75 lbs), climbing in and out of the cab, standing and walking on uneven surfaces, and working outdoors in all weather
- Sufficient English skills to read signs, communicate with the public, and complete paperwork as required by DOT rules
