About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A driver to run local routes out of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, hauling steel and metal freight on a flatbed trailer. You'll be home every day, working Monday through Friday with no weekends, and starting dispatch between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
Pay
- Base rate of $0.56 per mile, with a weekly guarantee of $1,500
- Drivers typically run 1,200–1,400 miles per week
- Stop pay of $21.19 per stop, averaging about 30 stops weekly
- Extra dispatch pay: $31.51 for New York City runs, $70.00 for Long Island runs
- Paid weekly, plus paid training
Home time
- Local route, home every day
- Monday through Friday schedule, no weekend work
What you'll haul
- Solo deliveries to Pennsylvania, New York City and the five boroughs
- Day cab tractor pulling a 45'-60' flatbed trailer
- Freight is steel and metal, load securement only
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
- Tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5, OR 5 years in the last 10
- Pass a drug test, background check, MVR review and DOT physical
- Pass a our company road test
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant regulations
