Local CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, $0.64/Mile

This is a local, full-time Class A driving job based in York, PA, running dedicated grocery routes with dry and frozen freight. You'll stay close to home every night while covering a solid weekly mileage base.

Pay

• Mileage pay of $0.64 per mile, with annual earnings generally landing between $85,000 and $95,000

• $10,000 bonus available

• Daily pay option of $70 per day

• $19.25 for each stop, plus $25 for rail shuttle work

• Detention pay of $20 per hour after the first 4 hours

• $200 per day during new-hire training, and the same rate for holiday pay

• $20 per hour for safety training

Home time

• Home every day

• Runs Friday through Tuesday, with a five-day week and an optional sixth day

• Shifts typically start between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM

What you'll haul

• Preloaded, palletized trailers carrying dry and frozen grocery freight

• Day-cab tractors pulling 48- and 53-foot box and reefer trailers

• Routes stay within about a 250-mile radius of York, generally 75–100 miles from the distribution center, with no runs into New York or New Jersey

• Most trailers make two stops, with either two shorter runs or one longer run per day

• Occasional backhauls and drop-and-hook work

Requirements

• Current Class A CDL

• Minimum of six months driving experience

• Your own way to get to and from the yard

• Comfortable occasionally moving palletized freight with a pallet jack

• Good customer-service manner
