About this job
Our company in Lake Forest, IL 60045 has a full-time opening for a Class A CDL driver running mostly local, short-haul routes between its own sites. You'll be behind the wheel of a Volvo Day Cab, pulling either a bulk tanker or a dry van trailer.
Pay
- $28.00 per hour
Schedule
- First shift, with start times of either 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Working days run Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays and/or Sundays when the workload calls for it
What you'll haul
- Loads move between our company's own plants, warehouses and storage yards
- Roughly 95% of your runs cover just 1.5 miles between buildings
- On the occasional longer run, you'll stay within a 50-mile radius of the home yard
Requirements
- A valid Class A CDL and a clean record behind the wheel
- At least 12 months of driving experience that can be verified
- No bulk tanker experience needed going in — training is provided
- Must meet current standards for general health and vision
- Weekend availability on a rotating basis is required
