About this job
Liebovich Steel & Aluminum needs an experienced Class A driver for daytime runs out of Grand Rapids, MI. You'll work Monday through Friday, 40-50 hours a week, covering 100-200 miles daily with several stops, using newer company equipment.
Pay
- $27.00 per hour
Schedule
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 40-50 hours weekly
- Local routes averaging 100-200 miles per day with multiple stops
What you'll haul
- Steel and aluminum materials requiring chains, straps and tarps to secure
- Up to eight or more chains/straps per load, with tarps weighing about 50 pounds
Requirements
- Class A commercial driver's license
- Able to operate a tractor-trailer or truck rated at least 26,000 lbs GVW
- Comfortable driving up to 11 hours per day
- Willing to load, unload and secure freight by hand using mechanical aids
- Must complete pre-trip inspections, duty logs and shipping paperwork accurately
- Follow DOT, FMCSA, EPA and OSHA safety rules
