About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run local routes on an AM shift, with weekly paychecks. You'll handle tractor-trailer freight while following all required safety and compliance rules.

What you'll do
- Operate tractor-trailers, including manual-transmission rigs, in line with FMCSA and DOT rules
- Follow GPS-guided routes and manage freight logistics along the way
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer checks, including hazmat compliance where applicable
- Keep accurate delivery logs and paperwork per DOT requirements
- Stay in touch with dispatch on route progress, delivery timing and any issues on the road
Requirements
- CDL-A with solid commercial driving background, including local delivery routes
- Comfortable operating manual-transmission trucks
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or auto-hauling equipment is a plus
- Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT safety rules, plus hazmat regulations
- Skilled with GPS routing tools and defensive driving practices
- Hands-on experience loading, unloading and handling freight
