Local CDL-A Tanker Driver — $75,000–$92,000/yr + $5,000 Sign-On

Our company LLC needs Class A CDL drivers to pick up milk from local dairy farms and haul it by tanker to nearby drop yards. You'll run local and regional routes, working closely with dispatch to keep deliveries on schedule.

Pay

• $75,000.00 to $92,000.00 per year, with earning potential up to $92,000 annually

• Paid every two weeks

• Consistent, steady farm pickup routes

• Be ready to work some holidays and weekends

What you'll haul

• Milk loaded from dairy farms onto tankers, then transported to designated drop yards

What the job involves

• Load milk safely and properly using the right equipment

• Get loads done on time and within safety rules

• Stay in contact with dispatch about routing, delays or problems

• Check trucks and equipment each day

• Follow food safety and handling rules to protect milk quality

• Keep accurate paperwork and delivery logs

• Deal professionally and courteously with farmers and customers

• Drop and hook trailers, and climb ladders to inspect trailer seals

• Comply with transportation and dairy industry laws

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement

• At least 23 years old

• At least 2 years of driving experience

• At least 1 year hauling liquid tankers

• Must get and keep a milk handler certification

• Current medical card

• Comfortable using electronic logging devices (ELDs)

• Strong communication skills and able to work with little supervision

• Physically able to bend, stoop, pull, climb, kneel, crouch, squat, sit for long periods, reach overhead, and lift 50 pounds
