About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL driver for a local shuttle route in Harrison Township, MI. You'll be home every day, hauling no-touch auto parts freight in a day cab pulling a 53' dry van.
Pay
- $32.25 per hour, with 40 or more hours scheduled weekly
- Weekly paycheck, totaling $1290 or more per week
- Quarterly safety bonus of $250, paid four times a year
- Paid training included
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work depending on production needs
- Shift starts around 2:00 PM, though exact start time depends on route bid
What you'll haul
- Local, home-daily shuttle route
- Day cab tractor pulling a 53' dry van trailer
- No-touch freight consisting of auto parts
- our company provides training on all equipment you'll use
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside assistance and a network of over 800 maintenance locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
- Must pass a drug test, background check, motor vehicle record review, DOT physical and road test
- Verification of drug and alcohol history from employers over the last 3 years
- Qualifying tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, regulations and procedures
- Some positions may require additional background checks, education or employment verification, or customer-specific badging
Responsibilities
- Follow applicable safety laws, regulations and company standards
- Spot and address safety hazards
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Load or unload freight when needed
- Handle other assigned tasks
