Local CDL-A Route Driver — Home Daily, $55K–$70K/yr

Our company, a family-owned gas and welding supply distributor since 1938, is hiring a Local Route Driver in Battle Creek, MI to deliver compressed gas cylinders and industrial supplies to local customers. You'll be home every night with daytime hours, typically 7 AM to 5 PM.

Pay

• $55,000 - $70,000 per year

• Competitive hourly rate plus a quarterly bonus program

Home time

• Home daily, no overnights

What you'll haul

• Industrial gas cylinders and industrial hard goods delivered to local customers

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement strongly preferred; the company will train the right candidate to get these credentials

• Able to lift and move heavy objects (60 lbs or more)

• Able to operate forklifts and tractors in varying weather and traffic conditions

• High school diploma

Responsibilities

• Deliver cylinders and supplies daily

• Handle billing paperwork accurately

• Load, unload, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle

• Track inventory out and returned

• Attend safety and compliance training

• Follow DOT regulations
