Thomas Enterprises in the Raleigh/Durham area is hiring a dependable CDL Class A driver for a permanent, full-time local role with daytime hours and a Monday-Friday schedule. You'll handle a mix of dry van freight runs and local recycling collection routes, so no overnight trips are required.
Pay
- Starting at $24.00/HR, depending on experience
Home time
- Local routes, home every day

What you'll haul
- Mostly dry van tractor-trailer freight
- Recycling collection trucks servicing containers and collection points on local routes
What you'll do
- Load, unload and secure freight safely
- Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs, logs and trip reports
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules
- Stay in contact with dispatch, customers and vendors
- Report any equipment issues, accidents or safety concerns
- Keep your truck clean and help with other transportation tasks as needed
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- Dry van experience required; general commercial driving experience preferred
- Comfortable with both manual and automatic transmissions
- Familiar with DOT rules and Hours of Service
- Reliable attendance, good communication and a safety-first approach
