About this job
Our company is hiring a local CDL-A driver in Evansville, IN to run less-than-truckload freight between company terminals and customer sites within a set area, making sure deliveries go out claims-free and on time.
Pay
- $31.10 to $35.85 per hour
What you'll do
- Operate a tractor trailer to pick up and deliver customer freight
- Sort, load and unload freight at terminals and customer locations
- Plan your routes and schedule to hit pickup and delivery windows
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and follow safety and quality procedures
- Handle billing paperwork and keep accurate load records
- Act as the main contact for resolving delivery issues on the spot
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with hazmat (X or H), tanker (N) and double/triple trailer (T) endorsements
- At least 21 years old
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience
- Able to read, write and speak English
- No DUI, DWI or license suspension for moving violations within the past 3 years
- No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in the 6 months before applying
