About this job
Our company is hiring a Class A CDL Lead Driver to support daily operations and help other drivers while running a local, home-daily schedule. This leadership role involves driving as well as mentoring and assisting fellow drivers.
Pay
- $325 per day plus route differential
- Opportunity to move up to $350 per day after 90 days based on attendance, reliability, and performance
- Weekly pay
- Guaranteed 5 days of work per week
- Annual safety bonus and inspection bonus
- Annual performance-based raises
Home time
- Home daily
- Must be available Monday through Saturday; hours vary based on operations
What you'll do
- Drive Class A CDL vehicles safely
- Act as a lead driver, covering open routes and training other drivers when needed
- Support dispatch and management to keep operations running smoothly
- Mentor new drivers
- Load and unload freight as required
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain DOT compliance
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record, able to pass background check and drug screen
- Strong, verifiable work history; leadership experience preferred
