About this job
Our company is looking for CDL-A company drivers with intermodal experience to run local and regional routes out of Homer Glen, IL. You'll be home every day, with day and night shift options available.
Pay
- $1,200 to $2,000 per week
- Paid via direct deposit, 1099
Home time
- Home daily
- Day shift begins between 4-6 AM; night shift begins between 4-6 PM
What you'll haul
- 20-foot, 40-foot and 53-foot intermodal containers
- Day shift includes drop and hook plus live load/unload
- Night shift is all drop and hook on 53-foot containers
- Runs in a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia automatic sleeper
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Prior intermodal experience and rail yard familiarity
- Clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
What you'll do
- Inspect your truck before and after each trip
- Stick to assigned routes and delivery schedules
- Keep accurate delivery and incident records
- Stay in contact with dispatch on load status
