Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver — Home Daily, Avg $79,918/yr

J.B. Hunt is looking for local CDL-A drivers to run its intermodal fleet out of Cheney, WA, hauling loads between the rail yard and customer sites. You'll work familiar routes with steady freight and flexible shifts, and you'll be home every day.

Pay

This job pays under an activity-based plan, so your earnings grow with how much you get done. Drivers average $1,536.88 per week, or $79,918.00 per year. Rates for specific activities include:

• $0.40 per mile (CPM)

• $22.00 per hour for compliance, empty searches, rail delays, mechanical breakdowns, waiting on a power unit, yard work, mandatory meetings, new hire training and safety training

• $15.00 per occurrence for cross-town moves and driver assist

• $3.00 to $36.00 per day for daily show/work pay

• $22.00 to $27.00 per hour for detention

• $45.00 per occurrence for driver unload

• $30.00 per stop for drop/hook and refused deliveries

• $20.00 per occurrence for empty moves and truck order not used

• $25.00 per load for hazmat

• $30.00 per load for refrigerated freight

• $47.00 per stop for live load/unload

• $200.00 per day for holidays

• $160.00 per day for jury duty

• $20.00 per hour for miscellaneous work

Actual annual pay can vary depending on things like training completed, endorsements held, time with the company, equipment type, paid breaks and how many days a week you work. You may also qualify for performance- or profitability-based safety bonuses.
