Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver — Home Daily, $1,200–$1,400/wk

Local intermodal CDL-A opening in Chicago, IL with daily home time. You'll run drop-and-hook heavy freight on a night shift, with some out-of-state miles mixed in while still getting home every day.

Pay

• Average weekly earnings of $1,200-$1,400

• Starting rate of $0.62 per mile

• $20 per load on top of mileage pay

• Extra differentials for night and weekend work

• Roughly 1,800 miles a week

• Paid weekly, with possible additional pay depending on the situation

Home time

• Home every day

• Night shift, with weekend and holiday work when scheduled

• Based out of Chicago, with some runs crossing into other states before you return home

What you'll haul

• Intermodal, no-touch freight

• Mostly drop-and-hook, especially overnight, though some live loading and unloading can come up

• Lanes cover Chicago, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa and Indiana

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with at least 6 months of experience (first-seat drivers welcome)

• No endorsements needed

• Open to company drivers and teams; owner-operators and trainees are not accepted

• Must live within 25 miles of ZIP code 60608 in the Chicago area
