Local CDL-A Gravel Train Driver — Home Daily, $27–$30/hr

Rock Bottom Stone Supply, part of our company, needs a local CDL-A driver with gravel train experience to haul product from the Burton, MI branch to customer sites and job sites within a set radius of home. You'll start and finish each shift at the branch with no overnight trips.

Pay

• $27 to $30 per hour, based on experience

• Paid weekly

• Overtime available during busier seasons

Home time

• Local routes only, within a maximum radius of the home branch

• No overnight travel; you return to the branch each day

What you'll haul

• Deliveries of building and landscape supply products to customer business locations and job sites

• You'll load, unload and stage orders at the warehouse or jobsite, and may also help with stocking, order entry, shipping and receiving

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Gravel train experience required

• Clean driving history: no hit-and-run or DUI/DWI convictions in the past three years; any accidents or serious violations in the past year will be reviewed by HR and management

• Prior commercial driving experience and familiarity with DOT and OSHA rules is a plus

• HAZMAT endorsement is a plus

• Basic computer skills

• Forklift experience helpful

• Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds

• Must pass a background check, drug test and DOT physical

You'll be responsible for following DOT and FMCSA rules, keeping accurate delivery and driving records, getting signed receipts, and logging truck performance.
