Local CDL-A Flatbed Driver — Home Daily, $25/hr

Our company is looking for a local Class A CDL driver in Chattanooga, TN to run flatbed freight on a solo route, home every day. You'll drive a day cab pulling 48' and 53' flatbed trailers, with some touch freight (brick) and a mounted forklift for loading.

Pay

• $25.00 per hour, paid weekly

• Weekly average of $1450

• About 50 hours per week

• Paid training

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays during peak season

• Dispatch starts at 6:00 am

• Local routes to surrounding areas, home daily

What you'll haul

• Flatbed trailers, 48' and 53'

• Touch freight, including brick

• Equipment includes a mounted forklift for loading and unloading

• Trucks are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling support at over 800 locations nationwide

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements

• Able to drive manual transmission

• At least 6 months of experience; the forklift equipment requires 1+ years of experience

• Class A tractor-trailer experience meeting one of: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years

• Must pass a drug test, background check, motor vehicle record check, DOT physical, and road test, including verification of drug and alcohol history from past employers over the last 3 years

• Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures

• Some assignments may require additional background checks, employment or education verification, or customer badging

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and applicable regulations

• Spot and reduce safety hazards

• Keep accurate logs and records

• Load and unload freight when required by the customer

• Other duties as assigned
