About this job
Elite Comfort Solutions, a our company company, needs a CDL-A driver for its local polyurethane foam plant in Conover, NC. You'll run a set Monday through Friday schedule, roughly 5-6am to 2:30pm, delivering product by tractor-trailer and helping out in the warehouse when you're not driving.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, approximately 5-6am to 2:30pm
What you'll do
- Pick up your route and assignment from your supervisor each day
- Drive tractor-trailer loads to customer sites, including tight spots and busy traffic areas, and back trailers into docks as directed
- Complete required DOT vehicle inspections and log results on the ELD, checking oil, fuel, tires and batteries, and reporting any issues
- Get a signed BOL at each delivery
- Track your hours of service through the ELD according to company policy
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks and daily forklift inspections with paperwork
- Pitch in on warehouse work between runs
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 22 years old
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable over-the-road driving experience
- Must pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
- Meets all DOT and company qualification standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable following verbal instructions and basic math, with good attention to detail and a steady, reliable work habit
