About this job
Our company is hiring local Class A drivers to run grocery freight for a dedicated Walmart account around Arcadia, FL. You'll pull reefer trailers on live-unload runs, usually two per day, and get back home every night.
Pay
- $0.43 to $0.51 per mile
- Estimated weekly earnings around $1,300
- $10 extra for each stop
- $30 bonus on any load under 90 miles
- Extra earnings possible through a performance bonus program
Home time
- Daily home time
- Pick your schedule: Thursday through Monday, or Friday through Tuesday
- Overnight runs, and you'll be expected to work holidays
- Trucks are slip-seated, not assigned to one driver
What you'll haul
- Refrigerated grocery loads
- Routes through Arcadia, Port Charlotte, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Englewood, and North Port in Southwest Florida
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- Open to both experienced drivers and trainees — contact recruiting to check what experience or training is needed for your situation
- Solid driving history
- Current DOT medical certificate
- SAP drivers will not be considered
- Must be available for night and holiday work on the set schedule
- Willing to drive a slip-seat truck
