About this job
Our company needs a local CDL-A driver running routes within 40 miles of Stuarts Draft, VA. You'll be home every day, driving a new automatic-transmission truck with preloaded, hook-and-drop trailers, so there's no freight handling involved.
Pay
- Average weekly earnings range from $1,500 to $1,850
- That works out to roughly $78,500 to $97,000 a year
Home time
- Home daily, working out of the Stuarts Draft, VA area
What you'll haul
- Dry freight, already loaded onto the trailer before you arrive
- Hook-and-drop setup, so you're not touching the load
- Expect about 1,770 miles each week
Schedule
- Normally 5 days a week
- During busy stretches, up to 6 days may be needed, with days off planned around that
- Occasional holiday work may come up
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 1 year behind the wheel
- Your own way to get to the terminal each day
- Willing to work 5-6 days a week when the schedule calls for it
