Local CDL-A Driver — $32/Hour, Home Almost Every Night

Our company Inc. is looking for seasoned CDL-A drivers to run local and regional routes out of Huntley, IL, serving the Chicagoland area.

Pay

• $32 per hour on local runs under 500 round-trip miles

• $0.60 per mile on regional runs over 500 round-trip miles

• Paid weekly via direct deposit

• This is a 1099 contractor position

Home time

• Home almost every night, with occasional overnight or layover trips

What you'll haul

• Freightliner Cascadia tractors, mostly sleeper-equipped for local IL runs

• Local and regional pickup and delivery across Chicagoland and nearby areas

• Freight is mostly no-touch

Bonuses and extra pay

• $2,500 sign-on bonus, paid out at $500 per quarter over five quarters

• $75 bonus for weekend work

• $100 for layovers

• $100 for a clean DOT inspection

• $75 to $150 quarterly safety bonus

• $35 for approved unload help, $30 per hour for approved mechanical help, $40 for an approved trailer swap

• $250 for referring a driver

• $500 after one year on the job, $1,000 after two or more years

Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent, verifiable CDL-A experience

• Valid Class A CDL and current medical card

• At least 23 years old

• Reasonably clean driving and PSP record, no major violations in the past 36 months, no DUI in the past 5 years

• Not listed in the FMCSA Clearinghouse as prohibited

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and meet FMCSA and company safety standards

• Need a smartphone and reliable transportation, and be comfortable with digital logs, paperwork, and photos
