Local CDL-A Driver — $27.50/hr, Day Shift

This is a local, daily driving position based in Louisville, KY, running a mix of dry van and flatbed freight on day shift, starting around 6am.

Pay

You'll start at $27.50 to start / OT after 40 hours, paid weekly, with typical weekly earnings landing between $1,600.00 - $2,100.00 per week depending on hours worked (50-60 hours per week is typical).

Home time

Routes stay within a 200 mile radius of Louisville, so you're home every day, averaging 1,000-1,500 miles per week.

What you'll haul

Most of your time is spent in a 53' dry van, with flatbed work a few times a week. Freight handling is mostly touch-free: about 70% drop and hook, with the remaining 30% being live loads and unloads. You'll also swap trailers and move empty vans and flatbeds loaded with pallets. On flatbed runs, loads are strapped down rather than tarped. Trucks are automatic day cabs.

Requirements

• Valid Class A license with no L, Z, Air Brakes, or K restrictions

• At least 12 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 13 months

• Two years of experience hauling a 53' dry van is preferred
