Local CDL-A Driver — $25–$27/hr

Fontana Transport Inc. needs an experienced Class A CDL driver to run local routes hauling freight between its Fontana, CA and Memphis terminals. This is a seasonal fall/winter role with potential to continue longer based on performance.

Pay

• $25.00 to $27.00 per hour

Routes and equipment

• Local runs within a 500-mile radius connecting the Fontana and Memphis terminals

• You'll operate a 53ft dry van

• Travel to the work location is covered

What you'll do

• Haul freight safely and on time between the two terminals

• Check your truck for mechanical or safety problems before each run

• Map out routes and hit delivery windows

• Log your driving time, rest breaks, and mileage to stay DOT compliant

• Back the truck into loading and unloading spots

• Confirm and collect delivery paperwork

• Report any equipment issues, accidents, or violations

• Stick to weight, route, parking, and break rules along with company policy

Requirements

• Unrestricted Class A CDL (automatic transmission restriction is fine)

• Binational Mexican CDL accepted; the client's insurance covers the extra paperwork

• Must speak and understand English

• Comfortable with long driving hours and regular travel

• Familiar with GPS and electronic logging devices

• At least 3 years of commercial driving experience
