About this job
Our company is looking for a local CDL-A driver in Fredericksburg, Virginia to run a dedicated grocery route and be home every day. This is a hands-on job with regular freight handling and a set schedule.
Pay
- Average earnings of $1,671 per week, with top earners making up to $1,735 per week
- Average annual earnings around $86,892, with top drivers reaching $90,220
- Pay is based on a mix of mileage, loads, and stops
Home time
- Home every day
- Two consecutive days off each week
What you'll haul
- Grocery freight delivered to customer sites across Virginia and Maryland
- About 1,300 miles per week on dedicated routes
- Automatic-transmission trucks pulling 53-foot trailers
Schedule
- Five days on, working both weekend days
- Two days off in a row
- Night shift openings currently available
- You'll need to report to the Fredericksburg facility daily
What the job involves
- Running assigned routes to deliver on time and safely
- Loading and unloading trailers with an electric pallet jack
- Bringing returned product back to the distribution center
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 3 months of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Current DOT medical card
- No SAP drivers
- Must be available to work weekends and be dependable and safety-minded
