About this job
Our company (POOLCORP) is hiring a local Class A CDL delivery driver at its Morton, Illinois sales center. You deliver pool and outdoor living products on local routes and are home each night.
Pay and hours
- A minimum of 40 hours per week is guaranteed, even when weather cuts deliveries.
- Pay rate is not listed in the posting.
- Bonuses reward safe driving and strong performance.
What you'll do
- Deliver orders on time using the best route.
- Load, unload and secure products, keeping hazardous material separated.
- Collect payments and record each delivery accurately.
- Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections and tell your supervisor about maintenance needs.
- Keep the vehicle clean and follow DOT and FMCSR rules.
Requirements
- Age 21 or older.
- Valid Class A CDL, with a HAZMAT endorsement obtainable after you are hired.
- Driving record and PSP report with no more than 2 combined violations or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
- Able to move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Moffett, Skelly or air brake experience is a plus.
- Offer depends on passing a drug test and background check.
