Local CDL-A Delivery Driver — Home Daily, $75K–$80K/yr

Cheney Brothers is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver to run local routes out of Tampa, FL, delivering food and food-service products to customers and bringing the truck back home every day.

Pay

• Average annual pay of $75,000 - $80,000

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Dispatch between 3:00 am and 4:00 am

• Home Daily

What you'll haul

• Food and food-related products delivered via tractor trailer or straight truck

• Routes include local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop runs

What you'll do

• Build relationships with customers while delivering orders on time and in good condition

• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your tractor and trailer per DOT rules

• Check loaded freight is secure, verify item counts against invoices, and handle paperwork accurately

• Unload orders at customer sites, collect signatures, and take payment when needed

• Load customer returns and damaged goods back onto the trailer and report any issues

• Log your hours of service and keep your truck and dock area clean

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience

• Valid CDL-A and at least 21 years old

• Clean driving record for the past 3 years

• Pass a post-offer drug test, background check, and road test

• Current or obtainable DOT health card

• Able to hand-lift and move product cases weighing roughly 10-90 pounds using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates
