About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A delivery driver in Charlotte, NC. You'll work Monday through Friday from 6:00AM to 2:30PM, with an occasional Saturday, and you'll be home every day.
Pay and bonuses
- Competitive starting salary
- $1,000 sign-on bonus, paid as $500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of continuous employment (not available to re-hires)
- Up to $6,000 in annual driver incentive bonuses: $1,000 each quarter plus a $2,000 annual bonus based on performance
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-2:30PM
- Occasional Saturday work
- Home daily
What you'll do
- Haul deliveries safely and in line with company procedures and DOT rules
- Plan efficient routes based on customer schedules and peak delivery windows
- Load and unload freight, lifting up to 65 lbs as needed
- Collect and submit delivery paperwork and COD documentation promptly
- Keep orders accurate and pass along customer communications to management
- Represent the company professionally with customers
Requirements
- Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
- Valid DOT medical card
- At least one year of driving experience
- Ability to drive a manual transmission, if the vehicle requires it
- Strong customer service skills
- High school diploma or GED
