About this job
This is a local, home-daily CDL-A driving job out of Phoenix, AZ, delivering bread on a mix of yard, shuttle and delivery routes. You'll run late-model automatic Freightliner Cascadias for a major nationwide carrier, with shifts rotating between days and nights.
Pay
- Earn $0.51+ per mile depending on experience
- Get $45.00 per stop when you're required to unload
- Drive 1,500-3,000 miles weekly, averaging $1,100-$1,150 per week
Home time
- Home every day
- Tuesdays and Saturdays off
- Expect 10-12 hour day or night shifts on a rotating schedule
What you'll haul
- Bread trays and carts, unloaded by hand including a liftgate in tight spaces
Requirements
- CDL-A with at least 6 months of tractor-trailer experience in the past year
- No terminations from your last driving job
- Hair follicle drug test (SAP drivers not accepted)
- No accidents or incidents in the past year
- Your CDL address must match the hiring area, and you must live within 50 miles of Phoenix
- Comfortable with physical work and flexible with changing demands as the customer grows
