About this job
Our company is hiring a local CDL-A delivery driver in Chillicothe, OH to haul compressed gas cylinders to business customers using a company-provided straight or box truck. You'll work a Monday through Friday day shift and build relationships with the local accounts you serve.
Pay
- Starting pay rate of $28/hr
- Quarterly bonus potential
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, day shift
What you'll haul
- Compressed gas cylinders delivered to and picked up from external and internal customer sites
- You'll load, unload and track cylinders on a manifest, get customer signatures, and bring back empty, rejected or unsold cylinders for refilling
- Occasional warehouse or dock support as needed
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL and current Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and airbrake endorsements
- At least 1 year of Class A driving experience in the past 5 years, or a diploma from an accredited driving school plus 1 year of driving experience in the past 5 years
- Clean driving record: no more than 2 violations or 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, or a maximum combination of 1 violation and 1 at-fault accident in that time
- Minimum age 21
- Able to read safety data sheets and follow DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA and OSHA rules
- Able to lift 25-75 lbs. regularly and up to 125+ lbs. occasionally with equipment help
- Able to drive hazardous materials for shifts up to 8 hours, with frequent bending
- Able to work independently under deadline pressure
- Must be willing to obtain forklift certification
