Local CDL-A City Driver — $33.94/hr, Home Daily

Our company Transfer, a Midwest LTL carrier, is hiring a full-time Class A driver at its Ankeny, IA terminal. You'll run a daytime Monday–Friday schedule and be home every day.

Pay

• Starts at $33.94/hr, rising to $35.63/hr after your first year

• Quarterly safety bonus of $250, up to $1,000 a year depending on eligibility

Home time

• Home daily, Monday through Friday dayshift

What you'll haul

• General freight moved between customer locations and between terminals

• You'll load and unload trailers yourself or with dock help, and secure loads with straps as needed

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years old

• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience

• Pass a road test given by a our company driver trainer

• Obtain and keep Hazmat and Tanker endorsements on your CDL

• Hold only one valid CDL, issued by your home state

• No DUI, OWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last 5 years

• Clean, acceptable motor vehicle record

• Pass a DOT physical exam and functional screening

• Pass pre-employment and prior-employer drug and alcohol testing

• Consent to a 10-year work history review, explaining any gaps of 30+ days

• Able to read, write, and do basic math in English
