About this job
Our company, a plumbing, HVAC and hydronic supply distributor, is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver at its State College, PA location. You will drive a company box truck on first shift, getting materials to branches, customers and job sites safely and on time.
Pay
- $20 an hour
- Some overtime may be needed
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, first shift
- Start time falls between 3:00am and 5:00am depending on that day's run
What you'll do
- Drive company vehicles to branches, customers and work sites
- Secure your load, then load and unload products for customers
- Use Eclipse software, GPS, a signature capture device and a smartphone for daily tasks
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety problems
- Keep your vehicle clean and organized, and follow all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Deal with customers professionally and enthusiastically
Requirements
- Valid Class C license with RealID and at least three years of driving experience
- Two years of box truck experience
- DOT medical card, or the ability to get one
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable using Eclipse and related devices
- Able to regularly lift and carry products up to 75 pounds, and heavier items now and then
- Good communication, attention to detail and customer service skills
