Local AZ Flatbed Driver — $26.30–$29.38/hr

Our company, a precast concrete manufacturer, is hiring a full-time, permanent AZ driver for its yard in Chepstow, Ontario. You will haul precast concrete and other heavy products on local routes and work closely with the yard crew and dispatch to hit delivery times.

Pay

• $26.30 to $29.38 per hour on the pay line; the posting's header gives $26.30 to $31.80 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and driving record.

What you'll do

• Inspect your assigned truck before and after each trip.

• Drive the truck to customer destinations along set routes and schedules.

• Load, unload and secure precast products using the right equipment and safe handling methods.

• Fill out logbooks, inspection reports and delivery paperwork accurately.

• Stay in touch with dispatchers, customers and teammates.

• Move trailers around the yard when needed.

• Do basic maintenance checks and wash trucks and trailers every day.

• Follow company policies, traffic laws and safety rules.

Schedule

• Day and afternoon shifts, with some early starts, longer days and night shifts when the business needs them.

• Applicants are asked whether they are comfortable with a flexible schedule and changing start times.

Requirements

• Ontario Class AZ licence.

• At least 3 years of AZ driving experience.

• At least 1 year on flatbed; time on specialty inloader trailers hauling precast is a plus.

• Able to work outdoors, on job sites and in the yard, including lifting straps and chains.

• Reliable and punctual, and able to work alone or with a team.
