Linehaul CDL Truck Driver — Home Daily, $0.78/Mile

Our company Transfer, a Midwest LTL carrier, is hiring a full-time Linehaul Driver out of its Rock Falls, IL terminal. You'll run freight between terminal locations overnight, Monday through Friday, and be home daily.

Pay

• $0.78 per mile

• Quarterly safety incentive bonus for full-time drivers: $250 per quarter, up to $1,000 per year, based on eligibility

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, overnight shift

• Home daily

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailer freight moved long-distance between our company terminals

• You may load and unload trailers yourself or with dock help, using freight handling equipment where it's available

• Freight may need to be strapped down or secured by other means

Requirements

• At least 23 years old

• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience

• Must pass a road test given by a our company Transfer driver trainer

• Must hold, or get within the required window, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements on your current driver's license, and keep them current

• Only one valid CDL allowed, issued by your state of residence; if you've transferred states recently, you'll need to show your prior license or provide verification details, and list every license held in the last 36 months

• No DUI, OWI, or reckless driving citations or convictions in the past 5 years

• Clean, acceptable motor vehicle record required and must stay that way

• Must pass a DOT physical and functional screening

• Pre-employment drug test required, with a negative result

• Prior employers must confirm a clean controlled substance and alcohol record for the past 3 years, with no history of refusing a test during that time

• A 10-year work history check applies; any gaps of 30+ days must be explained, and documentation may be requested

• Must read, write, and do basic math in English

• Employment is at-will

The job involves regular physical work: lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds, pushing or pulling loads, long periods of sitting while driving, and frequent reaching, gripping, and climbing in and out of the cab. You'll be exposed to varying weather and occasional dust or fumes, and good vision and hearing are needed for driving and vehicle checks.
