About this job
This is a 1099 independent contractor role delivering groceries to customers' homes around Columbus, OH in a sprinter van. No CDL is needed, and you pick the delivery windows that fit your availability.
Pay
- $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with the contract rate going up to $22.00 per hour.
- You work as an independent contractor, not an employee, under an agreement with a Priority Express business (part of our company, LLC).
Schedule
- You choose when you work; more availability means more delivery opportunities.
- Routes typically start between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm and run 6 to 10 hours.
- Multi-day routes are offered, including one weekend day, with Saturday and Sunday work available.
What you'll do
- Collect a sprinter van from the fulfillment center and inspect it before heading out.
- Bring groceries to customers' homes safely and on time, then bring the van back.
- You may also shuffle vans around the yard, help at the docks, clean out vans and handle other warehouse tasks.
Requirements
- Age 21 or older.
- A valid driver's license; a CDL is not required.
- At least 1 year of driving experience.
- Able to lift 10 lbs again and again and up to 50 lbs now and then.
- Clear, polite communication with customers, partners and site staff.
- Able to team up with other contractors and also work on your own initiative.
