About this job
Our company in Winnipeg, MB is looking for someone to deliver, assemble, install and repair office furniture for both warranty and non-warranty customers, driving vehicles ranging from passenger vans to 5-ton trucks.
What you'll do
- Load orders onto the truck and check them against paperwork before heading out
- Drive to customer sites and assemble or install free-standing, panel and modular furniture, including leveling, cleanup and packaging removal
- Handle furniture repair calls and keep service documentation up to date
- Work with project coordinators to resolve issues and report on completed installs
- Keep your vehicle clean, inspect it daily, and flag any maintenance needs
- Help unload incoming furniture and pitch in on other warehouse or delivery tasks when needed
- Take part in scheduled inventory counts and follow all safety procedures
- Be available for overtime and weekend work when projects require it
Requirements
- Valid Class G license with no more than 3 demerit points
- Comfortable driving everything from passenger vans to 5-ton trucks
- Able to read construction blueprints and CAD installation drawings
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with pallet jacks, dollies and power tools (pallet jack training provided)
- At least 21 years old, physically fit, with a good driving record
- Comfortable lifting 70-100 lbs regularly and up to 300 lbs occasionally with mechanical help
