Floating Courier Driver — Covers Multiple Delivery Routes

Our company is hiring a floating courier driver in St. John's, NL to cover open delivery routes rather than a single fixed route. This role involves driving company vehicles, handling packages, and occasionally acting as a mentor to other drivers.

What you'll do

• Deliver and pick up packages while covering a minimum of 15 different routes as needed

• Fill in for routes when the regular courier is absent

• Model strong communication, leadership and conflict-resolution skills for hourly staff

• Support sales and look for ways to generate extra revenue

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record (no more than two infractions or accidents in the past 24 months)

• At least 6 months of previous courier experience

• Able to complete and maintain Dangerous Goods (DG) certification, including yearly recurrency training

• Able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment

• Bilingual in French and English if working in Quebec

• Good understanding of FedEx products and operations; knowledge of Canadian customs rules is an asset
