About this job
Our company in Bolton, ON needs a DZ-licensed driver to run their Vactor truck on road maintenance and winter operations work. This is a full-time, permanent position paying $26.00-$32.00 per hour, with overtime pay available.
What you'll do
- Run the Vactor truck and other specialized gear, including winter equipment
- Keep up accurate paperwork, covering safety logs and hours worked
- Handle basic upkeep and small repairs on your equipment, keeping it clean
- Follow contract specs, route maps, and correct sand/salt spread rates
- Stay flexible when schedules shift, including shift work and on-call availability
- Work well with the team and communicate clearly with customers
Requirements
- Valid DZ licence with a clean driving abstract
- 2 years of AZ/DZ licensed driving experience (requirement varies by posting section)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Winter operations or combination unit experience is a plus
- Comfortable working long or irregular hours, including on-call shifts
- Able to handle all weather conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication
Pay
$26.00-$32.00 per hour, plus overtime pay.
