About this job
Canada Steel, a steel service centre based in London, Ontario, needs a full-time permanent DZ driver for deliveries across Southwestern Ontario. You will drive a company stake truck, help with loading, and give customers friendly, reliable service.
Pay
- Starts at $26.00 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications
- Overtime is paid once you go past 44 hours in a week
- A work boot allowance kicks in after a 90-day probation period
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, days
- You should be flexible and available for overtime
What you'll do
- Drive a DZ stake truck from the company fleet
- Help load and unload, and make sure each load is secured
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip and keep it in safe working order
- Help forklift drivers build loads and pitch in with general labour
- Keep customers and sales staff informed about deliveries and service
Requirements
- A valid DZ licence (Class D is listed as required); experience is an asset
- A clean driver's abstract and a safe driving record
- Dependable, with good attendance
- Comfortable working safely at a fast pace
- Steel industry background is a plus
