About this job
Our company, a scrap metal recycling company in Etobicoke, ON, needs an experienced roll-off truck driver. You will place, swap and collect roll-off bins for industrial and commercial customers and move scrap metal safely to dump sites. This is a full-time, permanent role with calls across the GTA and southern Ontario.
Pay and hours
- Starts at $30.00 per hour.
- About 44 hours per week.
What you'll do
- Drop off, exchange and pick up roll-off bins at customer facilities.
- Haul scrap metal between customer sites and dump sites.
- Drive the roll-off truck safely and professionally, and tie down loads in line with transport rules.
- Check your vehicle regularly and report any maintenance problems.
- Keep paperwork and collection records accurate.
- Stay in touch with dispatch, customers and yard staff.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario DZ licence with a clean record, plus a clean driver's abstract.
- Air brake endorsement.
- Previous roll-off truck experience.
- Solid communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
- Reliable, on time and comfortable working on your own.
- Experience in scrap metal, recycling or industrial settings is an asset.
