About this job
Our company Canada needs a unionized pickup and delivery driver at its London, ON facility. You load your own gas cylinders, run dispatched orders to customer sites, collect empties, and unload when you return. The pay is $31.44 an hour.
What you'll do
- Drive company trucks (flatbeds, cylinder trucks) within company rules, DOT regulations and provincial traffic laws.
- Handle cylinders, cryogenic tanks and other gas products at customer sites and company facilities with proper equipment.
- Inspect your vehicle before and after every trip to confirm it is safe and mechanically sound.
- Keep customers happy and answer delivery questions professionally.
- Follow safety rules, including hazardous materials handling, PPE use and emergency procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Class 3 or DZ licence with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR; attach a DA and CVOR abstract issued within the last 30 days.
- Commercial driving experience, ideally pickup and delivery.
- Understanding of DOT and provincial hours-of-service rules.
- Comfortable lifting 50 lbs, with basic mechanical know-how for vehicle checks.
Nice to have
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Welding knowledge or experience (a strong asset).
- Hazmat endorsement (an asset).
