About this job
Our company is hiring a full-time, permanent pick-up and delivery driver in Brampton, ON. You will run scheduled routes dropping off supplies and collecting medical waste containers for healthcare customers, at $28 an hour.
Pay
- $28 an hour, with 40+ hours a week guaranteed
- Bonus program, plus an incentive paid quarterly when KPIs are hit
- Plenty of overtime available
Schedule
- Shifts start between 3am and 6am
- You work Sundays plus 3 other days a week; evenings and weekends are possible
What you'll do
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip and report defects to the Transportation Supervisor
- Keep your hours in the HOS app on your phone
- Load, secure and unload products without damage; regular lifting is part of the job
- Check that orders match the packing slip before leaving
- Deliver and pick up products and waste containers along your route and handle customer questions
- Clean and disinfect the vehicle daily following company protocol
- Fill in packing slips and manifests in line with TDG rules
Requirements
- DZ licence with air brakes
- At least 12 months of verifiable driving experience within the last 36 months
- Clean CVOR and a driver's abstract issued within the last 30 days
- Pass a background check, pre-employment medical and a road test
- Able to lift, push and pull 60 lbs or more
- Know how to load, block, brace and secure cargo safely and complete shipping paperwork
