DZ Food Service Delivery Driver — From $25/hr

Bondi Produce & Specialty Foods in Etobicoke needs an experienced local delivery driver who can both drive and physically hand-deliver food products to foodservice customers across the GTA and Southern Ontario. This is hands-on work, not dock-to-dock or long-haul driving.

Pay

• Starting at $25.00 per hour

• Raises possible based on experience and completing probation

• Full-time, permanent role

What you'll haul

• Food, beverage and produce items delivered to restaurants, hotels, country clubs and other foodservice operations

• You drive a 20-foot or larger straight truck on multi-stop routes

What the job involves

• Repeated stops throughout the day, getting in and out of the truck

• Hand-bombing: moving product from the truck to customers' receiving areas using a dolly

• Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling product, including up stairs and through kitchens

• Professional customer service at every stop

• Keeping the truck organized and safe, and completing delivery paperwork

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on local delivery experience, ideally with restaurants, foodservice, produce or beverage customers

• DZ licence strongly preferred; a G licence may be considered with significant straight-truck experience

• Experience with 20-foot-plus straight trucks

• Good knowledge of the GTA and Southern Ontario

• Clean driving record for the past 3 years

• Able to work up to 6 days a week, including weekends, with early starts as early as 5:00 AM

• Physically able to handle repetitive manual material handling all shift

• Comfortable working independently at a fast pace
