About this job
Our company needs a DZ driver in Saskatoon to run battery deliveries and haul old units back for recycling. You'll be on the road roughly 30-40% of the time, about 6-8 nights away per month, with regular lifting involved.
What you'll do
- Handle your assigned delivery and pickup routes on time
- Load and unload batteries, lifting up to 50 lbs often
- Keep paperwork current for shipping, delivery and warehouse records
- Maintain solid relationships with customers on your route
- Check your truck over each day and flag any issues
- Stick to all safety and transportation regulations
- Pitch in on warehouse and inventory work when needed
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience driving commercial delivery routes
- Valid DZ licence with air brake endorsement, and a clean abstract
- Able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs and occasionally push, pull or move up to 100 lbs
- A minimum of one year working directly with customers
- Good spoken and written English
- Comfortable working with mobile apps and devices
- Will need to pass a criminal record check, reference check and abstract review
- A plus if you've run a forklift or hauled dangerous goods before
