DZ Delivery Driver — $25/hr

Embrun Co-op, a member-owned cooperative in Eastern Ontario, needs a delivery driver for its Rona hardware and building materials division. You will drive a delivery truck, handle customer drop-offs and pitch in at the lumber yard between runs.

Pay

• $25 an hour

What you'll do

• Drive the truck to customer locations and deliver building materials safely and on time

• Load and unload using a forklift, pallet jack or by hand, following safety procedures

• Match each load to its invoice and delivery details

• Keep delivery logs and electronic vehicle inspection records, and report any problems

• Look after customers on delivery, solving small issues or passing concerns to the store

• Sort and arrange materials in the lumber yard when needed

• Prepare orders so loading goes smoothly, and plan efficient daily routes

• Follow the Highway Traffic Act, safety rules and company policies

Requirements

• A valid DZ licence and a clean driving record

• At least 3 years behind the wheel of DZ-class vehicles

• Meets the company's insurance requirements for DZ vehicles

• Fluent in French and English, with good spoken and written communication

• Comfortable working alone outdoors in any weather and doing physically demanding work

• Able to run a Moffett, or willing to learn
