DZ Delivery Driver — $25.55/hr to Start

Our company is looking for a DZ delivery driver to serve customers in and around Concord, ON, with routes that include trips into Downtown Toronto. You'll handle hand-bombed deliveries, operate tailgate and reefer equipment, and keep accurate delivery paperwork.

What the job involves

• Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Safe loading, unloading and securing of freight using ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks and load bars

• Hand-bombing and breaking down skids, lifting up to 50 lbs as needed

• Checking piece counts, collecting signatures and store stamps, and completing delivery paperwork

• Reporting any accidents or vehicle issues right away to the Transportation Manager

• Resolving customer issues on the road and attending required driver meetings and training

• Following food safety rules (HACCP/SQF) where they apply at your location

Requirements

• Valid DZ licence for the vehicle you'll be driving

• 6 months to 1 year of experience driving a similarly sized truck

• Experience with tailgate and reefer equipment, and hand-bombing freight

• Familiarity with ELD systems such as Samsara

• Clean driver's abstract

• Comfortable working in noisy, dusty or damp conditions, and able to bend, kneel, push, pull and reach as needed

• Solid English communication and basic math skills, plus comfort with paperwork and receiving/shipping tasks

• Must pass a criminal background check and MVR search as a condition of employment
