DZ Delivery Driver — $22–$24/hr

Our company, a family-owned grocery distributor serving the GTA for more than 25 years, needs a DZ delivery driver in Mississauga. You will run established routes in a straight or light truck, delivering to independent grocers, including frozen items like ice cream. This is a full-time, permanent day-shift job starting at 6am.

Pay

• $22.00-$24.00 per hour

What you'll do

• Drive straight and light trucks on set routes and deliver into customer locations, sometimes using stairs

• Load, unload and pick product by hand in -20 Celsius conditions

• Stock and rotate product in customer freezers following planograms

• Verify each order on delivery, collect payment, and keep delivery records

• Take back returns, empty crates and pallets and unload returned product into the walk-in freezer

• Complete a pre-trip vehicle inspection and an end-of-day check-in with the warehouse coordinator

• Stay in contact with dispatch and the order desk

Requirements

• Valid DZ licence with air brake endorsement

• Clean abstract and CVOR

• 2 years of DZ driving experience, with a letter of experience

• Automatic truck only

• Able to regularly lift and carry more than 50 lbs and use a walkie, hand jack and dollies

• Flexible to work days, afternoons, weekends and holidays

• Good written and spoken English, basic math, and comfort with a computerized device

• High school diploma or GED

Good to know

• Three years of clean CVOR, clean abstract and insurance letter of experience are preferred

• The application asks about lifting ability and criminal convictions without a pardon

• Work is in person in Mississauga, reporting to the Transportation Manager
