About this job
Our company General Contractor Inc. is looking for experienced hydrovac driver/operators for year-round construction and infrastructure work across the GTA. This is a full-time, permanent, in-person position.
What you'll do
- Dig with water and vacuum to expose buried gas, hydro, water and telecom lines
- Locate, expose, clean and adjust water boxes, curb stops, valves and watermain components
- Clean catch basins, maintenance holes and other underground structures
- Trench and pothole for road and municipal construction
- Vacuum away water, mud, slurry, debris and construction materials
- Tidy sites and assist underground utility and road crews
Requirements
- A valid Ontario DZ or AZ licence
- Hands-on hydrovac experience, preferably 2–3 years
- Full competence with the hydrovac truck, including high-pressure water wands, vacuum systems and booms
- Safe working habits around live underground utilities
- Know how to do daily inspections, maintenance and proper equipment handling
- Comfortable working on your own with little supervision
- Reliable, safety-minded and physically able to do the work
- Experienced operators only; the company does not train operators
