Delivery Route Driver — Box Truck, From $16.00/hr

Our company runs delivery routes out of the Clarksburg, WV terminal as an independent service provider for FedEx. They need a route driver to handle pickups and deliveries on an assigned route, operating out of the Bridgeport, WV area.

What you'll do

• Drive a box truck on your assigned route, picking up and dropping off packages on schedule

• Load and unload shipments by hand, using proper lifting technique for packages of different weights

• Follow DOT rules, traffic laws and company safety procedures on every run

• Use a mobile device to follow your route, log deliveries and stay in touch with your manager

• Interact with customers professionally, answering questions during drop-offs

• Keep accurate logs of your deliveries and route activity

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Prior experience as a delivery driver, with good customer service and safe driving habits

• Valid driver's license and a clean record; experience with commercial or box trucks is a plus

• Able to lift, carry and move packages, including heavy or bulky items, using safe handling methods

• Familiar with DOT rules, traffic laws and workplace weight-handling safety

• Comfortable navigating and communicating through a mobile device while on route

• Physically able to manage repeated loading and unloading tasks

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test, DOT physical and background check, including a safety threat screening

Pay

Starts at $16.00 per hour.
