About this job
Join a logistics team in Mount Pearl, NL moving freight and goods to customers on time and with care. You'll handle trucks and vans, keep shipments secure, and help keep operations running smoothly.
What you'll do
- Drive trucks and vans safely, following traffic laws and safety rules
- Load and unload freight, using equipment as needed to handle goods properly
- Plan efficient routes with GPS or maps to stay on schedule
- Inspect your vehicle regularly and handle basic repairs to keep it roadworthy
- Keep dispatchers, customers and teammates informed to coordinate drop-offs and sort out any issues
- Log deliveries, shipment paperwork and asset records accurately
- Help with inventory checks and moving heavy equipment during load and unload
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with Airbrake Endorsement
- Pallet jack experience is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with freight handling and safety procedures
- Commercial driving or logistics background preferred but not required
- Good communication skills and a safety-first, customer-focused mindset
